JUNE 2008: We are very excited to welcome the addition of a third doctor to our office. Welcome Dr. Rebecca Maida! Dr. Maida, Dr. Bennett's oldest daughter, graduated from the New England College of Optometry.
JUNE 2008: One memorable patient from Dr. Bennett's volunteer VOSH trip to Armenia was a 9 year old girl, who was amblyopic in both eyes due to large amounts of astigmatism. This past May, the young patient and her mother made a trip to the United States, where Dr. Bennett was able fit her complicated prescription with rigid gas permeable contact lenses. After a difficult and long process, she left the office with a smile on her face, as she would be returning to Armenia, seeing the world through her new lenses.
MAY 2008: Both Dr. Bennett and Dr. Macbeth have recently become InfantSEE™ providers hrough the American Optometric Association. Through this preventive health program, the doctors will join other doctors nationwide to provide professional eyecare to infants, free of charge. Please visit the
InfantSee® website for more information on the program or contact our office for further questions or to set up an appointment!

MARCH 2008: Congratulations to Wenxiao Li, a freshman at Belmont High School, for winning our raffle at the high school Health and Wellness Fair on March 12, 2008. We chose to highlight the importance of eye safety during sports, and students entered a drawing by answering a quiz about what they learned at the booth. The prize was an iPod shuffle and a $25 iTunes gift card.
SEPTEMBER 2007: In September of 2007, Dr. Bennett traveled to Armenia for the second time with the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, VOSH. As one of seven optometrists along with additional students, nurses, and volunteers, the team examined close to 1,000 patients and greatly impacted their community.
