Dr. Rebecca Maida

Dr. Maida is Dr. Bennett's eldest daughter, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Maida has always had a passion for working with children, and taught seventh grade math for two years at the Chenery Middle School in Belmont.  In 2008, Dr. Maida received her doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston; she joined our practice in 2008.  At her graduation, Dr. Maida was honored with the 2008 Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy for her distinction in pediatric optometry and binocular vision.

While Dr. Maida enjoys working with younger patients, she also has many other areas of interest.  Her clinical experience includes training at the VA Hospitals at Brockton and Worcester, The New England Eye Institute, Perkins School for the Blind, The Lahey Clinic, and South Boston Community Health Center.

Dr. Maida lives in Watertown with her husband, Mark.
